AMERICAN chemical company Huntsman Corp may invest US$40 million to build a new regional technology center in Shanghai for Asia-Pacific.

Construction may start in January, with completion by mid-2013.

“The Huntsman technology center will be aligned to support Asia’s fast-growing industries, including developing new energy-saving material solutions for strategic industries,” said Anthony Hankins, Huntsman’s Asia-Pacific CEO.
