DocaPole 5-12 Foot Extension Pole Squeegee

In addition to scrubbing and removing water, the DocaPole 5-12 Foot Extension Pole Squeege can tilt and extend. Dual-sided head with a scrubber and squeegee blade is the first thing you’ll notice. You can choose from a variety of blade lengths—10, 12, or 14 inches—with this tool. Depending on the size of the window, you can adjust the blade length, which saves you time.

A unique feature of this model is that the head can be tilted and locked into place, making it ideal for cleaning windows of all shapes and sizes. Rotates 180 degrees and is compatible with other DocaPole devices. From 5 feet to 12 feet, the pole may reach windows on the second floor.

If you have windows that are more than 24 feet tall, the DocaPole is offered in a single or double pivot form. Showers and car windows can be cleaned with the head removed from the pole and used by hand.

Ettore 8-Inch All Purpose Window Squeegee

Small in size, the Ettore’s tiny blade of 8 inches is effective in sealing windows and removing water quickly. With a snap button design, it may be attached to a REA-C-H Extension Pole.

To clean tiny windows, mirrors and shower doors, use this low-cost squeegee with its durable plastic handle, aluminum channel and streak-free rubber blade. As a result of its compact and lightweight design, it is easy to store in a shower caddy or in the garage.

desired tools Squeegee for Shower, Window

Small and lightweight, this squeegee provides streak- and squeak-free window cleaning. Shower walls, automobile windows, and house windows are no match for the 7-inch blade’s maneuverability. However, because the handle is so short, it is best suited for windows with smaller panes.

The non-slip properties of the ergonomic foam handle let you maintain a firm grip even when the handle becomes wet. This squeegee is ideal for anyone who have problems with their wrists or movement. Two new blades made of silicone slip into the head and are locked in place.

The 10-inch by 7-inch dimensions and hanging hook on this variant make it ideal for storing in a garage or a shower.

Lomida Professional Window Squeegee Cleaner

Lomida’s 62-inch Professional Window Squeegee Cleaner gives you greater cleaning freedom and efficiency. With an interchangeable microfiber head and wiping blade, you can either scrub or remove water from the surface with ease (you have to remove one head before using the other). The pole and squeegee are protected from damage by a flexible section on the handle that allows you to alter the angle with pressure.

The height of the pole ranges from 23 to 62 inches. It’s possible to remove or add three additional sections to make it longer or shorter depending on the task at hand. A button splice construction ensures that the pole won’t come free while in use, making it ideal for usage in windy conditions. The pole is made of aluminum, which is both durable and easy to transport and use.

JEHONN Window Squeegee Cleaner

You can use this JEHONN Window Cleaner with a 200-milliliter water or cleaning solution tank built in. All of this can be done without having to remove any heads or dip them in a pail of water. It has a hook and loop attachment for easy removal of the professional-grade microfibre head. Finally, wipe the windows down with a squeegee made of rubber after using the microfiber head to scrub them.

The JEHONN comes with an aluminum alloy extension handle that is both light and strong. Although the sprayer can be used without the connection, both pieces contain a spray trigger.

Unger – 92100 Professional Stainless Steel Heavy-Duty

Unger-92100 Stainless Steel Squeegee is a better option if you exert greater pressure on the squeegee than plastic can manage. Eight-, twelve-, and sixteen-inch stainless steel heads are available. While the stainless steel is rust-resistant, the rubber squeegee ensures a long-lasting finish.

The head has an ergonomic handle that makes it easy to use in the shower or on the windows of your car. A telescopic Unger pole can be used to extend the reach of the head, making it ideal for residences with multiple stories or lofty windows.

MR. SIGA Professional Window Cleaning Combo

Clean your windows streak-free with the help of the MR. SIGA Professional Window Cleaning Combo. Microfiber is also included in the package. Microfiber covers can be attached to the squeegee before use to aid in scrubbing. You may clean a huge area with a small amount of material that won’t harm glass surfaces with microfiber.

The natural rubber blade is held in place by a lightweight aluminum clip. A MR. SIGA’s telescopic pole is required for use with this model if you need to reach high windows. This attachment is ideal for tiny, concentrated areas when used on its own.

Unger Professional Window Cleaning Tool

With its 18-inch rubber head, the Unger Professional Window Cleaning Tool tackles even the largest windows with ease. The 6-inch, 10-inch, and 14-inch squeegees are also available if you don’t require nearly as much width. Internal water channels aid in movement of water along the fabric sleeve, making it easier to eliminate water from a broader region.

The Unger telescopic pole can be used with this squeegee (sold separately). For those windows that are hard to reach, you get an 18-inch microfiber sleeve. This longer squeegee can reduce the time it takes to clean windows with a wide expanse because of its additional coverage.

Desired Tools Window Squeegee

The squeegee from Desired Tools measures 7.7 inches in width. Water may be cleaned off windows, shower stalls, and automobile windshields with this silicone blade tool.

Due to the silicone construction and the dual-edged blades, these scissors will last a long time. With them, you can expect them to last at least twice as long.

Two extra blades are included in the set, making a total of three. It’s a simple matter of doing so. If you buy this squeegee, you’ll get six times the life of regular squeegees.

In addition, the silicone is pliable. You won’t have to exert much effort to get the water out of your hair. When you use this, you won’t have to worry about high-pitched shrieks! It’s an excellent alternative if you want a more serene window washing experience.

The blade has a tendency to slide when being used, so keep an eye out for that. You may need to take a break from time to time to re-center yourself.

Ten inches is the total length of the blade and handle. It’s easier to control because of the shorter handle. In the case of cleaning tall windows, however, this is not the best option.

A soft foam sheath protects your hands from the blade as you work. It also implies that even if it rains, you won’t lose control of it. You can also remove the foam if you wish to use it without it.

In addition, there is a hook at the end for easy storage.

So all in all it’s an excellent value for the money and ideal for cleaning small windows.

HIWARE All-Purpose Window Squeegee (Our Top Pick)

Glass shower stalls and automobile windshields are no match for the squeegee power of HIWARE. And there are three blade widths to choose from: 10, 12 or 14 inches.

A rubber blade is used in this instance. It’s easy to use and doesn’t leave behind any streaks. And it won’t squeak as loudly.

Ingenious and durable 18/8 stainless steel makes up the rest of the squeegee. For those who want something that can be shown, this is an excellent option.

Rust won’t be an issue because to the stainless steel construction. And it won’t collect scents or grow mold if it’s left wet, either. However, if it rains, it may get slick.

There are no sharp edges on the handle, so your hands won’t hurt. In addition, the design makes it simple to adjust the blade’s angle for optimal window cleaning results.

The handle, on the other hand, isn’t extremely long. All told, it’s only 6.5 inches tall. As a result, even though it’s easy to control, it’s limited in its range. The longer the handle, the better for those with larger hands. There are better solutions for taller windows as well.

For hanging, there’s a hole in the bottom of the handle, so feel free to do so. A stylish stainless steel hanging hook is preferred by most people. The squeegee rests in this cradle, which is connected to your wall using self-adhesive stripping.

Addis ComfiGrip Shower And Window Squeegee

Addis is one of the more well-known household names. Their squeegee may be used on both shower stalls and windows.

The blade is 9.5 inches wide and has a gray rubberized handle connected to it. The entire item measures approximately 10.5 inches in length.

Comfortable to hold, the handle has a padded grip. When it becomes wet, it won’t fall out of your hands because of the rough finish. And unlike foam, it won’t absorb water and become heavier after use, unlike the foam.

The head and handle have a small curvature to them, making it simple to hold and operate. Water dripping onto the rubber is easily absorbed by the material’s elasticity. In addition, dragging it over the glass makes no noise.

The handle has a loop for hanging at the bottom. In order to hang it, you can thread a cord through it or it’s large enough for most hooks to fit over. A two-year warranty is included, despite the fact that it is a low-cost cleaning equipment.

Another squeegee that may be used on both showers and windows. This can be a decent alternative if your windows are tiny and you don’t have to climb very high.

However, if your windows are really high, you’ll need a ladder for this one. Find anything that can be fastened to a pole, rather than a shorter one. You’ll be surprised at how much faster you can get your cleaning done.

Sorbo 24-Inch Professional Window Squeegee

Check out Sorbo’s professional window squeegee if you’re looking for something that can be utilized with extension poles.

If you have wide windows, this is a blessing because the head here is a full two feet long. When compared to some of our other smaller squeegees, they’ll be clean in less than half the time. Consider additional options if your window panes are smaller or separated into many sections.

Every drop of water will be swept away by the blade, which is both light and stiff. In addition to that, it won’t cause a scratch on the glass.

It includes a black fast-release handle that makes it simple to operate. You’ll need an extension pole to use it, which you’ll have to purchase separately. It should be noted that only poles made by the same company can be used with this.

A safety line can even be plugged into the squeegee’s upper portion. It, if you’re intending on abseiling down your windows, you can do so with some degree of confidence! Our recommendation is to hire specialists if your windows require abseiling to clean.

To summarize, this is an excellent window cleaning squeegee for individuals who are serious about their work. One of the priciest, but the best, on the market. Large windows will have little problem fitting into its generously proportioned openings.

OXO Good Grips Wiper Blade Window Squeegee

There are not one, but TWO squeegees in this OXO set. The white heads contrast with the dark grey handles to create a classic, clean look.

They glide over the glass with ease, bending to the right angle as you go about your business. The silicone material makes them more durable than rubber alternatives. With a sharp edge, they’ll remove water without leaving streaks or harming the window.

It’s easy to hold because the handle is pleasantly curved. Furthermore, the tight grip ensures that even when wet, it will not slip from your fingers.

To make storing simple, the handle is finished with a hook. In addition, the hook can be rotated, making it possible to fit your squeegee into the smallest of spaces. Remember that the hook piece is constructed separately and added to the handle once the handle has been completed! There have been reports of it failing to come off on occasion.

A 9.5-inch-wide blade isn’t the widest on the market. The handle is just long enough to comfortably hold on to. There are more effective options for cleaning large or tall windows.

For those searching for an excellent and easy-to-use tool, this squeegee is worth the money. Since it’s so compact, it’s easy to tuck away. You’ll also get a second one for free.

Unger Professional Performance Grip Window Squeegee

In order to effectively clean larger windows, the 18-inch blade width of the professional squeegee from Unger is recommended.

Both hand-held and mounted on an extension pole are available. In order to get up high, you’ll need to purchase a pole separately, but it’s worth it. Get it from the same manufacturer so you can be sure it will fit.

Rubber is used to make the blade and a stainless steel head is used to hold it in place. Because of the materials used, there will be no rust or mold on the skull. It also does an excellent job of wiping off wetness without leaving smudges.

Just make certain that the blade is inserted uniformly throughout the hole in the handle. In some circumstances, we’ve heard that it has come and isn’t even. If that’s the case, the rubber won’t rest flat on the glass, which will result in water droplets being left behind.

If this happens to you, simply undo the screws holding the blade in place and retighten them. It should then be totally functional.

Despite its small size, the handle is made of plastic. In the absence of an extension pole, it’s fair to state that there are more comfortable alternatives available. When it’s wet, though, it has a rough feel that prevents it from sliding out of your hands. It’s also very light.

For a professional squeegee, this is a great value at a reasonable cost. If you need to reach higher places, don’t forget to budget for extension poles.

Ettore 10012 Solid Brass Window Squeegee

Ettore’s squeegee is made of solid brass, which makes it extremely durable.. It’s built to last and won’t corrode. In addition to purchasing it singly, you can also purchase it in packs of two or four.

To achieve a nice balance between usability and speed of cleanup, it’s 12 inches broad. A rubber blade is used in this instance. Replacements are available if it reaches the end of its usefulness.

Pull out one end of the blade when you’re ready to do so. There is a brass clip that must be removed. Afterwards, remove the rubber blade by squeezing the other end out.

You can do it in a matter of minutes, but don’t expect it to be an everyday chore. Even with frequent use, the blades will endure for several months before needing to be replaced.

It is compatible with REA-CH extensions. If you have large windows, this is a good choice to consider. Using it without a pole, the brass handle doesn’t feel the most natural. There’s no padding and it’s slippery when it’s wet, making it unsafe.

However, the finish is where this squeegee really shines, if you excuse the pun. Glass that is streak-free and sparkling clean will be achieved.

It’s also a surprisingly affordable alternative, given the high-quality materials and credentials of the professionals involved. If you desire a long working distance, you’ll have to invest in extension poles. As a stand-alone product, it’s really more affordable than certain plastic alternatives.

UNGER Black 14-Incg Window Squeegee

A 12-inch, 14-inch, or 18-inch Unger squeegee is included in our list of the best squeegees. It’s black and gray in color and has a clean, professional appearance.

The padded ergonomic handle makes it easy to hold. If the rubberized surface gets wet, it will not become slick.

The squeegee’s head can be rotated thanks to a screw holding it in place. So it’s lot easier to get into weird positions. We’ve heard several concerns about the head bobbing while in use, though.

Lightweight aluminum construction ensures that the frame won’t sag, and it won’t corrode.

The rubber squeegee blade is excellent at removing water from windows and making them sparkle. With the help of Unger’s “Smartclips,” it is securely fastened in place. They don’t need to be attached to the end of the cable.

The handle isn’t the longest on the market at five inches. However, it makes it simple to adjust the head’s position. It’s also compatible with the Unger Locking Cone or a pole with a tapered tip if you require a longer reach.

With a hole in the handle, you can thread a hanging string through the handle. However, due to its small size, it may not be able to be hung from a hook without the use of a rope.

Despite its high price, many professional cleaning agencies prefer to utilize this squeegee. It’s worth considering if you’re seeking for something that will last a long time.

Ehdis 11.5-Inch Silicone Rubber Window Squeegee

This Ehdis squeegee can be a good option if you need a smaller squeegee. As you can see, this one has an 11.5-inch blade! There is a total length of around 7 inches between the blade and the handle.

Solid, broad silicone is used to make the blade. You can have it in either blue or red, depending on your mood. Medical-grade silicone makes it extremely long-lasting. Furthermore, it won’t scratch your windows.

It’s also quite pliable, so it can be dragged in any direction to follow the surface of your glass. Because of this, it is extremely effective in removing over 95% of the water from surfaces.

It’s easy to hold because the handle is tilted away from the blade. A cylindrical shape means there are no sharp edges to cut into your skin. Because it has a textured surface, it’s easy to grasp even when wet.

Keeping in mind its diminutive size is the most important consideration while dealing with this one. It’s perfect for cleaning small panes of glass. In addition, because of its adaptability, you can use it on the glass of your shower stall or even your car.

Large sheets of glass, on the other hand, will take a long time to clean. It’s also not meant to be used with extension poles.. Choose an alternative route if you need to get up high.

Ettore 17006 Acrylic Window Squeegee

For those searching for an efficient and uncomplicated tool, Ettore’s six-inch squeegee is a great choice. Moreover, it’s the least expensive on our list, costing less than a cup of coffee. There are two options for squeegees: single or double packs.

11 Best Window Squeegees In 2022 To Clean The Glass

The body is composed of clear acrylic, and the design is fairly minimalistic. There is no curve to make cleaning easier because the blade and handle are both in a straight line. This squeegee, on the other hand, is designed for little, rapid applications. If you’re only using it to clean your car’s windows, that’s alright.

It’s best to avoid using excessive pressure. Scratches and squeaks are avoided by using light strokes to remove the water.

It’s not possible to simply replace the blade; you’ll have to buy a new one. At this pricing, it won’t be a problem to pay for it. But if you’re trying to reduce the amount of plastic you use, this isn’t the ideal solution.

The handle’s end has been drilled with a large hole. Either as a hanging cord or to go directly over a hook, it’s large enough.

Another squeegee that’s light, easy to control, and good at getting into tight spots is this one. However, if you have a lot of huge windows to clean, this is not the method for you. Infinite time will elapse. In addition, if you need to clean high up, you won’t be able to use extension poles with it.

How To Use A Window Squeegee Like A Pro

Have you ever stood in awe of a window squeegee specialist and thought, Wow!

With the help of a window squeegee, you can perform at the same level as the professionals. This book will teach you all you need to know about using a squeegee. Time to get started, shall we?

To begin, we’ll need to prepare our window-cleaning agent. When using a window cleaning bucket, add a tiny amount of Squeegee Wash detergent concentrate to the half-filled water. Add enough detergent to make the solution a little slick to the touch.

After that, it’s time to clean the window. Dip your window washer into the bucket. If you don’t want any leaks, squeeze the washer to remove any extra liquid. Wash the glass in a circular motion. Avoid over-wetting the glass and try to keep the frames as dry as possible while cleaning..

It’s time to have some fun. It’s squeegee time. Let’s go through the basics of the windows squeegee technique first…

1. The important parts of the window squeegee are…

As the saying goes, “rubber meets road” here. a. Squeegee Rubber (or glass in this case).

The squeegee rubber is held in place by the squeegee channel.

This is the handle that holds the squeegee’s channel in place.

Quick Release: The mechanism on the squeegee handle that allows the channel to be released from its grip. Depending on the squeegee model you select, this mechanism may vary. This characteristic is absent from some cultivars.

As its name suggests, this portion of your squeegee handle provides it the ability to pivot. Adjusting the swivel’s firmness or looseness can be done with a simple screwdriver.

In some channels, the squeegee rubber is held in place by these clips.

2. Some precautions before cleaning with a window squeegee

• Before using your window squeegee, make sure it’s in good working order. If you run your finger down the rubber’s edges, they should feel absolutely straight. It shouldn’t be wavy, strained, or excessively tight.

If the rubber’s edge has a tiny nick, it’ll leave streaks. You can use the sharper edge of the squeegee if the nick is only on one edge.

Squeegee channels should have about a half-centimeter or five millimeters of rubber dangling from the ends. This prevents any damage to window frames, painted surfaces, edges, and other parts of the structure.

Squeegee channels can be curved or bowed, so be sure yours is straight.

Changing the rubber on your squeegee is a good idea. Use a fresh window squeegee rubber every 4 to 6 hours for optimal results.

3. How to hold a window squeegee right

When using a window squeegee, two of the most common faults are to hold the handle too tightly and to apply too much pressure to the window. If you’re seeing streaks on the glass, your first instinct may be to press harder on the squeegee to remove them. When you press your squeegee against the glass, the sharp edge of the rubber blunts and the flat dull side of the squeegee rubber sharpens, creating the opposite effect.

The gentle pressure on the window squeegee handle is required. It’s a piece of cake. Relying on your body’s natural rhythm is the best way to use the window squeegee. It’s time to loosen up your arm, wrist, and shoulder as well. Keep a firm grip on the squeegee to prevent it from slipping out of your hands.

The squeegee should only need to be resting on the glass for a few seconds before it begins to work its magic. Use the squeegee’s weight, not your hand, to apply pressure. Excessive pressure on the glass might be caused by your palm becoming overly tight and strained. It’s better for your body and the glass if you apply less pressure. It’s time to replace the squeegee’s rubber if it requires greater force to clean. The majority of window cleaners in the industry change their cloths on a daily basis, or every 4-6 hours if they’re working nonstop.

Squeegee Handling Tip: Use a soft grip on the handle. Then, give it a whirl. Apply varying pressure to the squeegee as you work your way over the window. Clean windows by squeegeeing them with normal pressure, then half pressure, and then half pressure again. What works best can be spotted. The edges should also be wiped down.

So, what happens if you mess up?

This can happen if you squeeze the squeegee too hard or apply too much pressure to the window:

1. Fatigue of the muscles

2. Stiffness and tension in the muscles

Window squeaks

Cleaning periods are taking longer because of the increased workload.

In some cases, less is more. In order to get the best results, you should use less pressure to hold the window squeegee and less pressure to clean the glass. If you can, please do so and report back to us how it goes.

4. Window squeegee technique and principles

a. What’s your base distance or base angle?

The distance or angle of the squeegee’s base to the glass surface is called the base distance or base angle. The distance from the handle’s end to the surface is known as the base distance. Check out how it looks with the squeegee on the glass… 7 centimeters is the correct distance. If you extend your little finger while holding the squeegee at the correct angle, it will not quite touch the surface.

To avoid streaking, you should keep the base distance at least 5cm away from your body. Squeegee jump or shudder may leave moisture on the glass if your base distance is greater than 9 cm. That’s a bad idea, too.

With a consistent base distance, window cleaning will be lot easier and less frustrating, whether you use an extension pole or a more complex approach like the fanning method. At all times, maintain a proper distance from the ground. This assures that the squeegee rubber’s sharp edge will be utilised, resulting in speedier cleaning and superior, streak-free results.

The best way to measure your ability to maintain the same base distance while working is to record the distance and angle of the base when you begin and end a pass. As far as I can tell, yes. It’s important to make sure that’s the case.

b. Cutting the edge and creating a dry zone

Squeegees function best when they are applied to dry glass and then moved across the moist region of a window to remove the water. As you begin squeegeeing the glass, you will observe what some call “window crying,” or water dripping from the frames.

We can ‘cut the edge’ to avoid this. You can use a microfiber cloth or, with practice, the squeegee’s edge to do this. It’s only around a 1cm-2cm space on top of the frame and the left side of the frame (assuming you’re working from left to right). You can begin cleaning by creating a dry zone or starting point by removing the frame from the majority of the wetness. As a result, the sobbing effect on window frames is greatly reduced.

c. Cleaning across the window

We prefer to use a sweeping motion to clean the entire window. In some cases, it may not be feasible, although there are advantages:

Your base distance and squeegee position will be easier to maintain.

• Enhances your squeegee control and precision.

• Makes it easier for the water to drip down the glass evenly.

Makes it simpler to catch water before it hits the bottom.

5. Let’s do it. Now it’s time to squeegee like a pro

To begin, wash your window and then ‘cut the edge’ along the top and left side of the frame using a utility knife.

To squeegee, start at the upper left of the window frame and move your way down to the dry glass.

Squeegee from the top left to the top right of the window without stopping with very little pressure. As the squeegee’s top edge is positioned slightly forward, the moisture will flow down the glass more easily. That means that when you come to the other side of the window, the top border of the window should first touch the right side. Always maintain a 7-centimeter base gap between yourself and the object.

4. When you’ve reached the other side, lift the handle slightly and press the rubber squeegee on the frame’s edge. 5.

When you’ve finished, lightly wipe the squeegee’s rubber with a cloth to remove any remaining moisture.

6th: Repeat the procedure, this time with an overlap of 3-4 cm.

7th: Before going on to the next window, give the sides and edges of the surface a brief wipe with your lint-free cloth (microfibre works excellent). To choose the best cloth or rag for the job, try a couple and see which one works best.

6. Got large panels of glass to clean? Here’s how to use a large (extra long) window squeegee.

There is nothing to be afraid of with large window squeegees, despite their threatening appearance. Despite their size, they aren’t any more difficult to operate. In addition, huge windows may be cleaned in half the time.

Window squeegees in the ordinary and large sizes (15cm-45cm) differ significantly in the amount of rubber that protrudes from the channels. Undulations are more prominent in larger panels of glass. Streaks from the squeegee will be prevented by the extra rubber molding to the unevenness of the glass.

Extra rubber protrudes from the base channel, making it ideal for extension pole work as well as squeegeeing. This is especially useful for cleaning large surfaces. When opposed to using a cloth or rag, it’s much easier to trim the edge this way.

Important tips

For larger squeegees, remember that the same rules apply as they do for regular-sized ones:

Make sure you don’t overdo it with the water.

• Make a dry region by slicing off the edge (always start the squeegee on a dry area of glass).

• Maintain a constant squeegee handle base angle or distance from the glass.

Using too much pressure can lead to injury (less pressure is better).

• Use a towelling rag to dry the squeegee rubber after each stroke.

• Avoid cleaning outdoor windows in direct sunlight because it is more difficult to produce a professional finish.

How to use a large window squeegee

What about a larger window washing squeegee, like this one? What you need remember is the following:

Once the glass has been cleaned with a window washer, ‘cut the edge’ along the top and left side of the frame.

2. Use your squeegee on the dry glass in the window frame’s upper left corner.

Gently glide the squeegee all the way from the top left to the top right of the window, without stopping, using very little pressure. As the squeegee’s top edge is positioned slightly forward, the moisture will flow down the glass more easily. The top edge of the window should touch the right side first when you get to the other side. Always maintain a 7-centimeter base gap between yourself and the object.

As soon as you get to the other side, raise the handle a little so that the rubber is flush with the frame.

Remove the window squeegee from the glass, allowing the water to drain from the channel, and gently wipe the squeegee rubber of any remaining moisture.

Repeat the procedure, this time with an overlap of 4cm-6cm.

This procedure should be repeated until it is complete. Make sure you don’t overlap too much on your final stroke. Make sure that at least 34 of the rubber on your squeegee is in touch with the moist section of the window.

Before going on to the next window, if there is any remaining moisture on the sides or edges, use your lint-free microfibre cloth to wipe it clean. To choose the best cloth or rag for the job, try a couple and see which one works best.

Large window squeegee skills are worth the effort. You’ll save a lot of time and effort in the long run. Clean your windows twice as fast with just a little practice.

Can you squeegee across and down on the same window?

Definitely. Squeegeeing the entire window across can be a challenge due to its size or framing. Everything comes down to what happens at the end.

Handy hints for cleaning windows

1. Reduce the mess with the washer in your left hand

To capture the water dripping from the squeegee, place your window washer directly under the squeegee. In order to avoid drips and messes, this method is especially suggested for washing windows on the inside.

2. No pressure

With the squeegee, it’s difficult to judge how much pressure to apply to the window. You don’t need much.

The initial squeegee pass should be gently, so wet the glass before you begin. Then, with half as much pressure, make a second pass. Perform another stroke with less pressure and see what happens. How do you choose? Squeegee rubber that is still in good shape is almost always used on the third pass.

3. Wipe as you go

Staining can occur if ledges aren’t cleaned up right away. Even though it may seem counterintuitive, wiping up as you go will save you a lot of time in the long run.

4. Reach higher without an extension pole

To use the rapid release feature on your squeegee handle, slide it to the far left side of the squeegee channel when the top of the window is almost within reach (if you are right handed). Rather of relying on an extension pole, this method allows you to extend your reach.

5. Cleaning glass that is warm or hot

You’ll need additional water to properly clean warm glass.

6. The ‘fanning’ method

In order to learn the “fanning” technique, one must put in a lot of time and effort. Since it’s best learned through hands-on experience, we’ve left it out of this course.

Practice makes perfect

Two simple activities will help you clean faster:

You can experiment with how far away the handle is from the glass as you move the squeegee across the surface. Next, keep the base distance constant throughout the entire stroke. Streaking will be reduced if the base distance is maintained.

Squeeze the squeegee across the surface with varying degrees of force. Squeegee across with normal pressure, then squeegee with half the pressure, and finally squeegee with even less pressure.. Was it more effective to apply less force? The edges should also be wiped down.

The self-squeegee test

To see how much you know about squeegees, take this little test:

What is the significance of the squeegee’s base distance?

Is the squeegee handle to be held firmly or loosely?

How much pressure should I apply to glass with a squeegee?

Is creating a dry area and cleaning from dry to wet essential?

When using a squeegee, how can you prevent streaks from appearing on the glass?

Does squeegeeing across or down the window provide an advantage?

We’d love to hear any squeegeeing ideas and tactics you’ve come up with that have worked for you. Make an effort to get in touch with your thoughts, ideas, and memories. As a company, we greatly appreciate all of our customers’ input.

Buying Guide

We’ve come to the end of our list of the ten greatest squeegees currently available. However, if you’re still unsure, keep reading! The following questions will help you discover the features that you should look for in a squeegee that is right for you.

What Size Blade Do You Need?

All of the work is done by the blade of the squeegee. With its rubber or silicone material, it pushes water ahead of itself.

The amount of glass that can be cleaned in a single pass is determined by the blade’s width. The larger the blade, the faster it will be to clean windows with a large area. A blade that is 18 or even 24 inches wide should be on your shopping list if that is what you have at home.

There’s no guarantee that bigger is always better. A large blade will be inconvenient for cleaning tiny glass panes. Frames and glass will get in the way and you’ll end up slamming into each other.

Smaller bladed squeegees will also be more adaptable. Smaller shower stalls, car windows, and even the area around the sink can be cleaned effectively with the six-inch variants.

How Tall Are Your Windows?

After that, take a look at your windows’ height. Is it possible for you to get to the top without difficulty? Or do you think you’ll need one?

A squeegee with a short handle can be used if the windows are at a comfortable height. You’ll have no trouble maneuvering the head. In addition, you won’t have to keep any long poles.

However, if you must use a ladder to clean the tops of your windows, don’t bother. An extension pole-mounted squeegee will greatly simplify your work. There are certain telescopic poles that are long enough to reach the upper floors of a building, as well.

Make sure that your squeegee and pole are suitable before you begin. The best bet is to buy them from the same manufacturer.

How Durable Do You Need Your Squeegee To Be?

Squeegees come in a wide range of sizes, weights, and materials.

Some products are meant to be used just for a short time before being discarded. In most cases, they’re made of cheap plastic. Those with rubberized components cannot be recycled, so you’ll be adding to the plastic waste stream if you use them.

Others are constructed of more durable materials. Aluminum, stainless steel, and brass are some of the materials we have available for you to choose from. The blades can be replaced, so they’ll last for a long time. Even if they cost a little more up front, they’ll end up saving you money in the long run.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
