Where Are Puffy Mattresses Made And What Are They Made From

Where is the Puffy mattress made?

Despite the fact that Puffy mattresses are manufactured in the United States and Canada, the firm is proud of the four years of research and development that went into the invention of the mattress. Because Puffy makes their beds in tiny batches and only compresses them between one and two weeks after delivery, they are distinct from other mattress makers.

Additionally, Puffy’s production plant practices sustainable and environmentally-friendly methods. CertiPUR-US and OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certifications guarantee that their mattresses are safe from dangerous chemicals. This is good for the user and good for the environment at the same time.

A look at Puffy’s mattresses, with an emphasis on the original Puffy mattress, is provided here. There are three primary layers of foam in this all-foam mattress: The mattress is shielded from dust mites and other allergies by a stain-resistant, hypoallergenic cover. In the event of a spill or stain, the cover can be removed and washed.

The 2 inches of gel-infused memory foam beneath the cover is designed to assist regulate body temperature. In addition to that, there is a 2 inch layer of memory foam for additional comfort. Memory foam is wonderful for relieving pressure on your shoulders and hips because it is a body-contouring material. A 6-inch high-density foam base provides stability, and the mattress’s base cover maintains it in place. The Puffy mattress weighs about the same as a small car and is easy to transport.

There are no ozone depleting substances in the foams used by Puffy because CertiPUR-US certified foams have low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Many back and stomach sleepers prefer the medium firmness of the original Puffy mattress. Side sleepers with medium to heavy weight may also find this bed-in-a-box mattress comfortable.

It is easier to transport memory foam mattresses straight to customers because they can be compressed into a small box. Foam mattresses are also great for relieving pressure points, so they’re a wonderful option for anyone suffering from hip or shoulder pain. When your companion gets out of bed, you won’t be bouncing back and forth like you would if you were sleeping on a traditional mattress.

However, not everyone is a fan of memory foam. A hybrid mattress or an innerspring mattress may be a better choice for people who tend to get hot when sleeping or who want extra bounce in their mattress.

For a queen-sized mattress, the Puffy mattress costs $1,249. The Layla Memory Foam mattress, which retails for $1,099 and is ranked No. 1 in our Best Memory Foam Mattress review, is just slightly more expensive than this pricing. Bear’s original mattress costs $995; Leesa’s original mattress costs $1099; both are excellent memory foam mattresses.

We do not currently include the Puffy mattress in our mattress rankings. Discover the best mattresses of the year in our Best Mattresses of 2021 rankings.

How Much Does a Puffy Mattress Cost?

It costs $1,249 for the queen-sized Puffy mattress, which is somewhat above the average cost of foam mattresses in our review. To that end, it’s worth waiting for a mattress sale to see if you can save some money. When you purchase a new mattress from Puffy, you may be eligible for additional freebies, such as a set of sheets and pillows.

Tell Me About The Puffy Mattresses

All-foam mattresses made by Puffy are available to Canadian buyers, including the Puffy and the Puffy Lux. If you prefer a coil base over a foam one, you might want to hold off on purchasing a Puffy mattress until the company expands its offerings to include them in Canada. While you wait, here are two Puffy Mattress Canada options for your consideration:

In the words of the Puffy

There are three layers in the original Puffy, and it has a medium-firm texture.

  • The cover is Oeko-Tex certified (which is stain resistant and machine washable)
  • Infused with cooling technology, 4 inches of comfort foam (this is important for memory foams to stop them trapping heat)
  • Polyfoam with a high density support layer

The two layers of comfort foam are a cooling cloud foam and a transitional foam. 4 inches of comfort foam is a considerable amount, especially at this price point and with the lifetime warranty. Compared to Puffy, most of its competitors have only 3 inches of comfort foams in their mattresses. To put it another way, Puffy’s comfort foams perform a great job of relieving pressure and making the mattress more comfortable.

The Luxe Puffy:

Following are the new features of the Puffy Lux:

  • Increased height by two inches (12 inches total)
  • The Lux has an additional layer of comfort foam: Foaming Dual Clouds
  • Added contouring and a softer, plusher feel (due to the Dual Cloud Foam)
  • A more opulent cover.

The Puffy Lux is a comfortable mattress that will make you want to sleep on it all night long. Simply said, I’m not convinced that the significant price difference between the Puffy and the Puffy Lux is justified. Don’t just take my word for it: Puffy’s most popular mattress, the Lux, is still a fantastic mattress with thousands of satisfied customers. In the Puffy lineup, it’s just not my favorite!

Because of this lack of availability, I am disappointed that Puffy does not provide their Royal mattress to their Canadian consumers yet. As of late 2019, the Royal is a new addition to the Puffy product line.

What Else Is Available On Puffy.Ca?

As far as we can tell, Puffy’s whole product line is available in Canada, including the company’s bed bases and other bedding accessories.

If you’re looking to get a Puffy mattress but don’t want to spend the Puffy Lux costs, here’s my best advice:

Make sure you get the original Puffy mattress and a Puffy mattress pad or topper with your purchase.

Your mattress will gain two additional inches of height and plushness as a result, all while costing you less money. Add a fluffy mattress pad if you enjoy the sound of the Puffy but are concerned that it will be too firm. Mattress topper (memory foam) is a good option if you want more contouring from the Lux mattress. Firm or soft, you’ll find the mattress topper ideal for making your Puffy mattress firmer for less money than you’d expect.

In addition, I’ve written in-depth evaluations of the Puffy Mattress Pad and Mattress Topper. These articles’ links will take you to the American Puffy website, so be aware of that. If you do decide to purchase a Puffy Mattress + accessory, I’ve produced an essay explaining the differences between mattress pads and toppers.

Is Puffy Any Good?

A great adjustable base for your ideal bed set, in my opinion, is available from Puffy. It hasn’t been an easy task for them in the highly competitive “mattress in a box” market, but they’ve created a name for themselves in just three years. The fact that their mattresses are made in the United States and Canada adds to their appeal, as does the fact that they provide a lifetime warranty, which is unmatched in the industry.

Puffy Mattress Review (2022) - Mattress Nerd

The Better Business Bureau has given Puffy an A rating, and Consumer Reports has also given them a great assessment, so you can trust the 5 star reviews you find on the Puffy website.

To give you a little more height, I’d get the normal Puffy mattress with the Puffy topper if I were to buy Puffy in Canada.

What is the Puffy Donation Program?

Puffy, like Layla, donates to charitable organizations, which is a good thing. To learn more about these wonderful brands, check out our comparison of Puffy and Layla mattresses. As an aside, the Puffy Donation Program donates a mattress to a charity partner for every ten social media posts that include the hashtag #Puffy.

The Penny Lane Center, the Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter, St. Vincent de Paul, The Mission of Hope, the Nashville Rescue Mission, and Teen Challenge are some of Puffy’s non-profit partners in this effort. Leesa, a mattress company often compared to Puffy’s, even sent 3,000 bed kits to the states of Virginia and North Carolina in the wake of the outbreak. Check out our comparison of Puffy Mattress vs Leesa to see how they stack up against each other.

Conclusion

It’s done! According to Puffy’s website, its headquarters can be found in the city of Los Angeles in the United States and Canada. Puffy is an online company, therefore you’ll need to order directly from their website.

As a whole, Puffy is a reputable bed maker because they place a high importance on customer satisfaction. You’re also contributing to the well-being of those in need when you use their services.
